Reviews and Portals are going away:
- As of October 22, 2025, it will no longer be possible to create new Portals & Reviews. However, all existing Portals & Reviews will remain accessible at this link.
- As of November 22, 2025, it will no longer be possible to execute new actions, such as uploading content, adding comments to existing reviews, requesting favorites or approvals, assigning tasks, or adding due dates. All existing content, comments, and portals will remain available.
- All existing content, comments, and portals will be removed on December 22, 2025.
We encourage all of our customers to save documents and comments for their own records ahead of December 22 to avoid losing any important information.
Reviews and Portals were introduced to help users collaborate more effectively with team members and external stakeholders. To date, however, only a tiny fraction of our users are creating reviews and adding comments.
We believe that the WeTransfer platform should remain as simple and streamlined as possible, retaining only the features that drive clear and consistent value for the majority of our user base. For this reason, we have decided to remove Reviews and Portals by December 22, 2025.
The process will take place in three stages, with the goal of giving all customers who use these features the opportunity finalize their outstanding projects, save any important information, and find alternative solutions.
Stage 1: As of October 22, 2025, it will no longer be possible to create new Portals & Reviews. However, all existing Portals & Reviews will remain accessible at this link.
Stage 2: As of November 22, 2025, it will no longer be possible to execute new actions, such as uploading content, adding comments to existing reviews, requesting favorites or approvals, assigning tasks, or adding due dates. Content and comments already saved under Reviews and Portals will remain viewable, and shared portal links will still navigate to their intended destination.
Stage 3: All existing content, comments, and portals will be removed on December 22, 2025. After this date, Reviews and Portals will no longer be navigable from the WeTransfer website or via shared links, and all uploaded content and comments will be slated for deletion.
For this reason, we strongly encourage any customers using Reviews and Portals to review and save their content before December 22. Content can be downloaded directly from WeTransfer, while comments can either be integrated or documented using screenshots or other productivity and collaboration tools at your disposal.
