Our latest feature allows you to add an extra layer of security to your transfers. You can now set who can download your file and how you'll be notified. This gives you more control and peace of mind that your recipient is who they say they are. This feature is available to all Ultimate users and those on Enterprise and Teams plans.
How to enable Download Verification
You can access this feature via your transfer window where you will see the option to enable 'tracked' or 'restricted' downloads.
When you select 'tracked' downloads, anyone with the link can access them after authentication. You will get detailed notifications for every download. When you select 'restricted' downloads instead, only the recipients you specified in the transfer phase can access your transfer. Downloaders will be asked to verify their email, and only those matching an email in the recipients' list will be able to access the transfer. Note that this feature is limited to email transfers. In both cases, you will be notified of every download.
Once they've been verified, they will have access to your transfer and be able to download it. You will receive a download confirmation email once your recipient has successfully downloaded your transfer. You can read more about download confirmation emails - here.
