Here's how you can change the email address tied to your WeTransfer account
⚠️ Please note that you can change your address only if you signed up with your email. If you created an account via one of the social logins (Google, Apple, Slack) then it's not possible to change the address. In this case, we suggest deleting your current account and creating a new one with the new email address.
If you no longer have access to the email address on file, please note that our Support team cannot change it for you. Due to security reasons, we cannot grant access to a WeTransfer account if the user no longer owns the associated email address and has lost their password.
On the WeTransfer website
- Log into your account and click on your workspace name at the top-right corner of the screen
- Go to Account Settings > Profile and security
- Replace the existing email address with the new one. If the field is greyed out, it means that it can be changed because of the reasons mentioned above
- Enter your password to confirm the change
- A verification email will be sent to the new address.
- Click on the link you receive via email to verify the address and start using your WeTransfer account with the new address.
On the WeTransfer mobile app
- Open the app and go to Account
- Tap on your name
- Edit the address under Personal details
- Tap Save new email address
- A verification email is sent to the new address.
- Click on the link you receive via email to verify the address and return to the app to start using your WeTransfer account with the new address.
