Wondering how to download your files on the WeTransfer mobile app? It's never been easier! Provided you are using iOS that is, if you’re using the WeTransfer app on an Android device, see here.
If someone has sent you an email transfer, then guess what, that transfer is already in your Received transfers! Amazing right?
Otherwise, you can always just click on a transfer link that you've been given.
Once you've done that, you'll be taken to your Received transfers where you can preview your files, select which ones you'd like to download, or just download them all!
As for where your files go, just tap 'Save to Files', and then you can select either your iCloud Drive, or locally 'On My iPhone'.
Transfers sent and received via the app are still subject to the same expiry times as transfers sent through a web browser. This means after you have downloaded the transfer to the app, you will need to save your files to your device before the expiry date, otherwise you risk losing access to your files. More information about transfer expiry times can be found here.
Take a look at the gif below and get a peek at downloading transfers on the mobile app.
But how can I find the saved files on my device, you might ask?
One easy way to do this is to use the search function in the Photos app by following these steps:
- Open the Photos App
- Tap the Search icon
- Type ‘wetransfer’ in the search box
- Tap the result with the App Store icon next to it
- Tap See All to view every photo or video saved from WeTransfer
