Have you been waiting a while for your holiday shots to sync? Here's some tips to get things moving.
Occasionally boards can get stuck syncing on some devices. You can see this when the sync percentage doesn't move.
Please do not sign out of Collect or delete the app from your device, as this may delete any unsynced content.
Restart your device
Turning it off and on again? I'm sure you've heard this one before, but this often does the trick. After restarting your device, open Collect and keep the app open for the full duration of the sync.
Move the items to a new board
This is a great option if a restart doesn't work. Moving all the items to a new board will automatically restart the syncing process. You can find the steps in this article.
If you have a huge board which isn't syncing, please try splitting the board into many smaller boards. Please wait for each new board to sync before creating a new one.
Other useful tips
- If your device is running low on internal storage, then this can affect Collect's ability to function correctly. Please clear some space (at least 5 GB), restart your device, and try again.
- If you use an iOS device, please ensure Background App Refresh is enabled for Collect and that Low Power Mode is off, as this can prevent syncing when Collect isn't open.
- Private boards won't sync unless you're logged in. Please ensure you're logged into from the Account tab.
- If you've reached your Collect storage limit, any new private boards won't sync. Check your Account tab in the app to see how much space you have left.
