Can't find those files you left in the Collect app? Don't panic! There's a few things we can check first.
Check your account
Firstly, check that you're logged in. This can be done from the Account tab in the mobile app. Many people also have more than one Collect account. If you've logged in and can't see your normal content, please try logging in with your other email addresses. More on accounts here: Accounts are optional with Collect.
Free accounts
Private content is only stored locally on the device until the Syncing status is not showing anymore. If you aren't able to see your content or it is stuck on syncing, it's possible the content was lost when you changed devices or uninstalled Collect: What happens to my boards when I uninstall the app?
Syncing issues
Are your boards present, but missing some items? Have you recently changed devices, or uninstalled Collect? It's possible that the board hadn't finished syncing to your account. To avoid this in the future, take a look at this article, which explains how to get your boards synced up and ready to go: My board is stuck syncing.
Expired accounts
If you haven't used your account for some time, then there's a chance it's expired. Take a look at this article which explain expired accounts in more detail: Collect Account Expiry or: How Long your Account will Remain Available
Deleted shared board
When other people have edit access on a shared board, they can make changes to the board too. This includes deleting the board. If this is the case, we recommend getting in touch with your collaborators and asking what's up. View only access is also an option to consider when sharing your boards: Sharing boards with Collect.
Leaving a board
Leaving a shared board will remove it from all your devices. To get access again, you'll need to ask a friend who also has access to the board to share it with you. Sadly, if you were the only person on the board, it has been deleted.
