Made a mistake or need to swap something out? You can add or remove files and folders from a transfer after it's been sent - no need to create a new one.
How to edit a transfer
- Go to your Transfers page and open the transfer you want to update.
In the right-hand panel or in the top right by download, click Edit content.
- This will take you to a preview of the transfer where you are in Edit mode. From the toolbar at the bottom of the page you can:
- Click Add file to upload new files to the transfer
- Click Add folder to add a whole folder
- Select one or more files, then click Delete to remove them
- Your changes are not finalised until you commit to save changes after reviewing:
- Files marked File added will appear in the transfer once you save
- Files marked File removed will be hidden from recipients once you save
- Changed your mind? Click Restore it to unmark a removal, or Remove it to cancel an addition
- When you're happy, click Save transfer changes.
- This might take some time as we upload the new files.
To leave edit mode without saving, click Stop editing.
A few things to know
- Currently only the sender can edit a transfer's content — recipients cannot add or remove files.
- Newly added files show a preview placeholder until the upload completes.
- You can select multiple files at once and delete them in a single action.
- Transfers made before the 20th of April will not be editable.
- Transfers that are sent in download-only mode are not editable. You can switch these to any option with preview functionality, edit and then switch back to download-only.
