While you don't have to sign up for an account or paid subscription, you do have to verify ownership of your email address if you'd like to send an email transfer through our website without an account.

If you're a big fan of WeTransfer (hi big fan! We love you!) and you don't want to verify every transfer, you can sign up for a free WeTransfer account - or go ahead and use a link transfer, instead. 

For sending transfers up to 2 GB

You can use WeTransfer without an account to send transfers up to 2 GB to up to 3 email recipients, so long as you've verified your transfer with a code each time. If you would like to send anything larger than that, you would need a paid subscription.

For downloading transfers of any size

No account is needed! Everyone and their grandmothers can download a transfer once it has been shared with them. Just click the download link and awayyyyyyyyyyy you go!

For using the WeTransfer mobile and Mac apps

You will need to sign up for a (free) WeTransfer account in order to send and receive using either our iOS or Android mobile app, or to send link transfers using the Mac app. You can sign in using your WeTransfer account. If you're not yet signed up, it is possible to sign up for a free account using the app, and/or upgrade to a paid subscription from right within the app.

For sending transfers over 2 GB, setting a custom expiry date, and much more!
