We download all files through your browser, so you will not see the download progress on WeTransfer.com itself, and we won't ask you where you'd like to store your transfer. The download progress should be visible at the bottom of your browser window (in old Chrome versions and Internet Explorer), in the Downloads window (Firefox or older Safari versions), or in a little button in the top right corner of the window (newer Safari and Chrome versions).
In most cases, your file will be stored in your computer's Downloads folder. This can be changed, of course, and we've listed the instructions for each main browser is listed below:
Chrome and Firefox also give you the option of asking where you'd like to save your transfer every single time if you often find yourself saving transfers to different locations on your device.
It's via this method that you could, for example, set up your downloads to go to an external hard drive.
