If you have received a request for files read below to learn about how this works.
A request is a simple way for someone to get files from you. People use this to get photos from family or professional video files for a project or documents for their business.
First step and things to look out for
💡 Tip: Some requests include instructions. Read these to make sure you send the correct files.
⚠️ Look closely at who requested the files. Do not upload anything if you do not know who sent the request or why they sent it.
When you’re done reading any instructions if added, just tap on add files.
Adding files to the file request
⚠️ Please note: unlike other files sent with WeTransfer, these files are fully transferred to the person who made the request. You cannot delete your transfer after sending it via transfer request.
- You can either drag and drop your files, or tap the (+) button to open the file picker.
- You can add multiple files.
- You can optionally add a message
When you’re ready, tap the “Transfer” button to send your files and message, and check out our help center article if you have trouble uploading or sending.
What’s next?
After you tap to transfer, your task is done. The person who requested the files will receive an email notification letting them know the files are ready for download. Contact them if you need any further information.
