How to quit the Mac app

Quitting our WeTransfer Mac app is as simple as sending files through it! Please follow these steps:

1. Click the WeTransfer app icon in the top-right corner of your Mac menu bar to open the upload window.
2. Click the gear icon
3. From the list of options, select Quit.

Want to log out and log back into the app instead? Follow these steps to log out of your WeTransfer account:

1. Click the We icon in your Mac's top menu bar.

2. Click the gear-shaped icon at the top right of the pop-up window.

3. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.

4. Finally, click Log out.

When you re-open the Mac app, you’ll be prompted to log back into your WeTransfer account.
Please note that an active WeTransfer account is required to use the app.

You’ll then reach the login screen, where you can either enter your credentials or log in with Google, Apple, or Slack — depending on how you signed up.
