Did you know you can easily create transfers using the Finder Extension in your Mac app? Let’s see how you can do this!
1. Open your WeTransfer Mac app and click the gear icon in the top right corner.
2. Select Settings.
3. Locate the Extensions section in your settings and check the box next to Finder Extension.
4. It will automatically open a list of apps. Find WeTransfer there, enable Finder Extension, and click Done.
Great job—the Finder Extension should now work! You can verify this by opening Finder on your device and right-clicking a file (or selecting multiple files) you want to send. A Create a transfer option should appear under Quick actions.
It’s also possible to send folders using the WeTransfer icon in your toolbar. To enable it, right-click the toolbar and click Customize Toolbar, which will open a list of icons for you to add to the toolbar. Find WeTransfer and drag it to your toolbar.
You can create a transfer by clicking the WeTransfer icon in your toolbar. If you open a folder first and then click Create a transfer from the icon, a transfer with all of the files in the folder will be created.
Please be aware that it may be necessary to provide access to the private folders — a pop-up will appear where you can click Provide access to allow the transfer.
Give it a go and see how easy it is to transfer files with the Finder Extension!
