Where is the Mac App?
Our Mac app lives in your menu bar. Once you download our app from the App Store, you'll find it waiting for you in the top right corner. If you want the app to automatically start on startup, change the app settings by clicking on the logo, selecting the gear icon, and going into Settings.
How do I send a transfer?
-
Click the app logo in the menu bar and select + Upload files to get started.
-
Or drag and drop your file onto the app icon, and your upload will begin immediately.
When the upload is complete, the icon will change to a circle with a checkmark in the middle, and your download link will be ready for you to copy.
Because our Mac app is built to share link transfers, you’ll only receive a confirmation email the first time it is fully downloaded.
You can scroll through your previously sent transfers by clicking the We icon. A drop-down menu will display your sent transfers. You can copy the links to these transfers by hovering over the specific transfer and clicking Copy link.
Just go ahead, copy, and share them - that's what they're for! Like with any link, you can decide how to share the transfer — via text message, email, carrier pigeon, whatever works for you!
But please know that we do not track who you share your link with, so you'll need to keep an eye on that yourself.
Can I upload folders with the Mac app?
Yes! You can upload folders with the Mac app. Just drag and drop your folder onto the Mac app icon on your device's menu bar. It's that simple!
I'm not seeing any notifications from the Mac app
If you are not receiving notifications when your upload is completed, please make sure to adjust your settings. Here's a little context on how to handle notifications, as Apple support explains it.
