What is a Paid Transfer?
A paid transfer allows you to take a payment for your files. Your buyer will get prompted to pay for your files before they can gain access to download your files. This functionality makes the payment process quick and easy for you and your buyer.
What can I sell?
This is where it gets fun! For this Early Access Program, we've specifically chosen participants (such as yourself) ready to sell your digital products online.
These may be things you’re currently selling on other platforms or perhaps things you're considering. Some examples of digital products already being sold online include:
- Poster designs
- Font packs
- Wedding photos
- Final assets for clients
- Documents (e.g. financial plans, presentations, contracts, etc.)
Please note that the following items are not permitted:
- Illegal products and services
- Products and services that infringe intellectual property rights
- Products and services that are unfair, predatory, or deceptive
- Adult content and services
- Certain legal services
- Firearms, explosives, and dangerous materials
Will there be any changes to my subscription costs?
You can enjoy selling your digital products at no extra cost!
Will I be paid a transaction fee for my Paid Transfers?
We’ve partnered with Stripe to bring you this feature. Stripe charges a transaction fee of 2.9% + 30¢ for each transaction you make on your Paid Transfers, up to a maximum of $2 USD. This will be taken automatically as payments are sent to you and you will be able to review all charges from the dashboard under your Stripe account. Why am I having issues connecting to Stripe?
To enable this feature under your WeTransfer account, you must successfully connect to your Stripe business account. To connect your account, you must login to Stripe your existing Stripe account or complete account registration if you don’t have an existing Stripe account. If you have not managed to connect Stripe to your WeTransfer account then you’ll that its status will remain as ‘pending’ until this integration has been completed.
To resolve this issue, please return to Stripe and login to your account or complete your account registration. After doing so, you should see that your Stripe account is not connected. Please be sure to refresh your WeTransfer accounts page.

Can I change the price set for my Paid Transfers?
Yes! You can adjust the price for your Paid Transfer via your transfer panel. Simply find and select your Paid Transfer to go to the transfer details page where you can amend the price of your transfer. Please note, prices are in US dollars only and need to range from $1 to $999 USD. Please note, for this beta release all prices are charged in US dollars.
Which currency are buyers charged in?
The price of all purchases will automatically be converted into the buyer’s local currency which is based on their location.
How are my Paid Transfers protected?
Your Paid Transfers are only available for download for 24 hours and buyers can only download your digital products via the same device and email address that they used to make their purchase. If a buyer wishes to download your Paid Transfer after this time frame then they must undergo an authorization process to verify them as the buyer of your digital product.
